How to Use This Tool

Enter a character name, specify whether they are a Player (PC) or Monster (NPC), add an initiative modifier, and enter starting HP.
Click '+ Add to Encounter' to populate your battle sheet.
Click 'Roll All Initiative' to roll d20s with modifiers for all combatants automatically, or roll individually.
Click 'Start Combat' to sort the turn order and activate the turn tracker.
Click 'Next Turn' to advance active play, adjust HP as damage is taken, and roll quick dice (D4–D20) as needed.

Initiative Checks & Turn Orders

Initiative in d20 systems is calculated by rolling a 20-sided die and adding the character's Dexterity modifier. The combat tracker automatically sorts all characters in descending order of their initiative score, breaking ties at random.

Initiative = Roll(d20) + DexModifier

How do I roll damage or spell checks?

Use the Quick Dice Roller on the sidebar. Choose your die type (D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20) and click Roll. The result is calculated instantly and recorded in the running roll log.

Can I add or remove characters during combat?

Yes. You can add new players or monsters, or remove defeated combatants (by clicking '✕') at any point during active combat without losing your current round or turn position.
